| Although most children with hearing impairment have poor language and speech skills, it does not mean that they do not have the capability of learning these skills. In fact, it is a matter of how their teachers help them to achieve their learning objectives. In this article, the author wants to discuss the concept of hearing impairment; what learning difficulties they have; how teaching and learning materials can facilitate their learning; and how different contemporary technologies in the teaching such as, closed-captioned television programs, interactive video, microelectronic devices and computer technology can help them to learn inside classroom. |
